Free Agency begins in the WNBA

Players can begin negotiating contracts today.

It is January 15th which means that the WNBA Free Agency period has officially begun. Players can begin negotiating new contracts now and will be able to finalize any agreed-upon deals starting on February 1st, 2021.

There are four types of free agents in the WNBA: Core Players, Reserved Players, Restricted Free Agents, and Unrestricted Free Agents.
