Thanks, Jeff, for sharing this, and thanks for your insightful reporting. I can't wait until next season, but I am looking forward to seeing some of our youngsters play at Unrivaled in the meantime.

I'm curious about how the team will manage our reserved and RFA players.

I would expect all the Reserved players to be extended a qualifying offer, which I believe is generally the minimum salary. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't offer Horston, Holmes, and Thierry. Those aren't guaranteed contracts, and I believe they'd be minimum deals if they did make the 2027 roster.

They have two RFA - Jade Melbourne and Zia Cooke. I expect them to re-sign at least one of them if not both. One of Zia's answers in these exit interviews suggested she still wants to push for a starting role. If she can find that opportunity elsewhere, she may want to sign with a different team other than Seattle. I think Jade is more likely to come back, but I could definitely see both returning next season.

When I watched Jordy's exit interview, it made me wonder if she's the best fit for Coach Sonia's coaching style, which is analytical and layered. I think you and I both think that Jordy has so much unrealized potential, but she hasn't reset quickly when she has had some setbacks on the floor. I want to see her thrive here, but I am beginning to have some doubts.

I'd love to see Zia stay, but if she gets a better opportunity somewhere else, I'll be happy to see her grow.

I saw the same thing and had the same observation re: Horston. She was the least enthused of all the rotation players. Zia is in a bind: She seemed to appreciate the relationship with coaches here, but clearly wants to start, yet she also acknowledged that playing the point is an area she needs to improve. And playing the point is her best ticket to starting. I hope she’s back.

According to today's Seattle Times, Talisa Rhea was pleased with Sonia Raman's performance and has confirmed that she'll return next season. Not only this--"I thought she [Coach Raman] did great," Rhea said.

The front-office is starting to look like an unserious organization.
