The Media Day was generally enjoyable and a nice intro to the roster. Things were pretty awkward, though, with Davis and Mompremier being asked mostly about other players, rather than themselves, especially given that it’s not lost on them that their time here is likely nearing its end. The interviewers did them no favors.

Ice Brown was a surprise highlight. She was delightful, despite managing to commit the unforgivable sin of forgetting she played (well, sat, mostly) at Louisville as a freshman.

My love for Stef Dolson continues unabated. She’s going to be vital in the locker room, keeping the train from going off the rails when things start spinning sideways.

Also striking were the subtle remarks made by several players about this being the first situation where they actually had lengthy conversations with a head coach and that so much of the coaching has focused on positives, rather than harping on negatives. I wonder what the unspoken parts suggested about the past. Interested to see how that unfolds. 🤔

I really enjoyed hearing from this new iteration of the Storm. I particularly enjoyed their youthful passion for the game and their awareness of the opportunity that’s in front of them. And they displayed an intelligence that should serve them well. This will be an easy team to root for - both on the court and off!

That was a fun Media Day and it was over 2.5 hours long! I don't remember another media day that was anywhere near that long. 18 interviews is a lot especially with some dead space in between, but I'm really glad that we got to hear from everyone. When is Jaelyn Brown arriving and where is she arriving from? And is there any more definitely date as to when Awa Fam will be arriving? Is it still a couple weeks out or more? When will we get our next report on how training camp is going so far? I'm just curious to get more of your insights on the scrimmages.

This was fun to watch, Ice was a surprising charmer. I wonder if you think that Ezi being out for 6-8 weeks will impact the roster. I had seen some takes that Mack would get a developmental spot, but feel like Ezi’s injury maybe increases the likelihood that Mack gets on the final roster of 12. What do you think?

Any more definite date? The autocorrect is making things up.
