That was a funl game. We certainly could have won it and we would have if the Valkyries didn't have such a killer rookie 3-point shooter. Jade did pretty well running the point and I was impressed with Zia Cooke and Lexie Brown. Rennia Davis played well as did Flau'jae. Dom was pretty good but she could have played better. Jaelyn Brown played well. I was disappointed not to see the other Jalyn Brown. Even though it was a preseason game were they limited to playing only 12 different players in the game? I thought that Grace VanSlooten and Mackenzie Holmes played well. I thought that Tania Mair made a couple nice plays. The inevitable cuts are going to be hard to make.

Mielah Sowah is an Aussie! I thought we had good connections down under. We should have signed her if we wanted to go from the worst 3-point shooting team in the W to a decent one. Unless this was some kind of a fluke, she looked like the greatest 3-point shooter ever!

The Valkyries played 14 players so they obviously weren't limited but 2 of our players who were available did not play: Jalyn Brown and Beatrice Mompremier. I thought Rennia Davis looked terrific in just a few minutes and Jaelyn Brown also looked good down the stretch in the last few minutes as we attempted to pull it out and Elle Ladine almost hit a great 3-pointer that would have tied the game and probably sent the game into overtime. Grace VanSlooten and Mackenzie Holmes also played well down the stretch.

Taina Mair should be the starter even if Hiedeman is ready to go

Taina Mair also had some nice passes in the game.
