Loved your focus on who is our closer. I agree that I would love to see the ball in Dom or Flau'jae's hands more in those situations. We have lost so many clutch games, though I know it's good for our lottery odds, it has to be tough on the teams mental health
I think Coach needs to make a commitment to use her challenges more. Johnson was definitely hacked by CC. Also, she needs to improve on the end of the game strategy. She loses games for this team by allowing the refs to swing games. She needs more fight.
There were several moments that could have been challenged at the end of the game. The boxout Dom got called a “foul” for in the fourth was perfect time for it too. Dom was getting really frustrated and it seemed like a good moment to back her up. They are asking her to play more physical and I feel like challenging some of the tickytack stuff would help her out.
Plus it’s usually a long timeout to regroup even if you lose.
Generally though, challenges in sports are hard to manage and I imagine Sonia is learning too.
