We need a lot of improvement in so many areas to be respectable. Our rebounding was quite pathetic especially giving up so many O-boards. And our assists were just as bad. I have never seen a game where our leader in assists only had 2 assists. Usually someone gets at least 4 assists. And we didn't shoot worth a darn especially our 3-pointers. As Jeff said the highlights for us were the double double by Flaújae and Awa Fam's 8 points 7 boards and 4 steals. I think Mack should have played more. It would have helped our rebounding some. I think she was our only player with a positive +/-. Obviously, we missed Dom a lot and Ezi, too. I hope that we're going to take control of the game against Phoenix on Wednesday and play like we're capable of playing.
That would still take a lot of luck, but I think it's possible the Storm could position themselves to probably end up with the third-best odds to win the lottery, and then you never know. I believe both the Las Vegas Aces and Washington Mystics won the #1 pick while having the third-best odds. I think as long as Seattle ends up Top 5, they will get a really good player, but Top 2 would be very helpful for this rebuild.
I will definitely have to study more of the players as we have our next college season, and if there are any International Prospects that are worthy of being Top 5.
Without knowing which teams will end up with the #1 and #2 overall picks, I expect that JuJu Watkins will go first overall and Madison Booker will be selected 2nd.
Some of the other top prospects that could go Top 5 include Hannah Hidalgo, S'Mya Nichols, Mikaylah Williams, and MiLaysia Fulwiley. I will have to watch a lot more of their games to see if any of them should be drafted above Madison Booker.
should we, as with the Wings, root for the Sun-Comets to win more against the league, to better Storm chances? (as difficult as that may be, for them, and for me)
