It’s exciting to see the enthusiasm and great teamwork! These players seem to really love each other and it’s a lot of fun to watch them build cohesion and have a great time doing it. Great job Coach and team!
One thing struck me this game….we were getting slammed in the first few minutes and coach called a time out. I visibly witnessed good adjustments after the time out. I also feel like we improved our rotations from the first home game against CT both in the second and this first WAS game. I’ll be eager to see the Storm prepare for a likely angry WAS team…
Love that take, Cija. I said the same thing to my spouse -- it hasnt been 8 games and there's already better rotations and chemistry. And Coach is winning most of her challenges too. I must say the player that's most surprised me is Stef. Her communication and efficiency has been elite. This team is special!
Looking at the stat sheet, it's so refreshing to see that most everyone capable of playing got real minutes. I'm sure part of that was the big lead. But I think there was still quite a bit of rotation even before then.
I also noticed KLS smiling real big while headed to the bench after hitting the three. They seemed to be deliberately trying to get her her first score but the earlier passes were always off so she had to pass it back out.
Fun game in all. Good to see everyone enjoying themselves. Mackenzie Holmes even grabbed the T-shirt launcher from Doppler after the game 😆.
Tons of cool moments in the game, seemed like a huge sigh of relief for KLS when she hit that 3! Awesome to see.
Unlike the 55 fouls and 75 free throws. That was horrid reffing, capped beautifully by blowing the whistle for a foul with 1.8 seconds left in the game for one last set of free throws.
Absolutely! The 2nd half was a slog, it was called even, but the refs had to see how restless the crowd was. Just zero flow. Thank goodness it was a still a fun win.
It was hard to see from where I was sitting but I’m pretty sure at one point in the 4th Dolson was yelling at the refs for calling a foul ON the mystics.
Awa demonstrated a seriousness of focus that could actually galvanize Dom and especially, Ezi. Even though she’s the 19 year old rookie, she may be serving notice in a way pushes them, as much, if not more, than they’ll push her. She appears to be extremely serious about her craft. Practice would be fun to watch once all three are healthy.

Stef has been incredibly underrated. And is looking like a critical signing with the injuries to Ezi and Dom.

I can't get enough basketball, and even I was like, "Oh, it's time to go home. Why are you blowing the whistle with two seconds left in the game!?"
75 free throws were way too much!

Yeah, a lot of questionable calls especially in the last two minutes of a blow out game—-both sides at least?

Awa fam is the real deal!
Yeah, she’s only 19. Sooo athletic.
